“Ningbo.Shaoxing Week” has begun in full dress.

As an oriental water city, water is a “special product” of Shaoxing, and water sports have become a highlight of Shaoxing.

At 8:30 a.m. on June 22, the long-awaited 2019 Ningbo Shaoxing kayak friendship competition opened at Ningbo water sports training base (Sports School). After the opening ceremony, a dragon boat friendly race was held to warm up the event. At 9:00 a.m., the competition was officially hold. At the scene of the competition, the canoeists from Ningbo and Shaoxing presented a wonderful aquatic visual feast to the general public.

The competition is sponsored by Shaoxing Municipal People’s government, organized by Shaoxing Municipal Sports Bureau, guided by Ningbo water sports training base (Sports School) and Shaoxing water sports training center (school), and operated by Shaoxing Yuema Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd.

Since the plan of Dawan District in Zhejiang Province was issued, “integrating Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shanghai and Dawan district” has become the development direction of Shaoxing. So Shaoxing has actively integrated into the main position of Dawan district from multiple fields, further accelerated the pace of the integration of Shaoxing and Ningbo, and strive to become bigger and stronger as soon as possible, so as to truly build Shaoxing into a strategic hub of integrated development.

At the same time, with the help of “sports + culture + tourism” channel, we will promote the cultivation, exchange and cooperation of excellent sports reserve talents in the two places, and promote the common prosperity and healthy development of sports culture and economy in the two places.

“Ningbo and Shaoxing” are famous for their water sports. Meng GuanLiang, champion of Shaoxing canoeing Olympic Games for two consecutive times, Xu Dongxiang, fan Xuefei, pan Dandan, world champion of rowing, and a large number of outstanding athletes. Ningbo has Chen Hong, champion of Asian Games, and other famous athletes. The water sports foundation of the two places is strong and the cooperation and exchange of water sports are frequent.

This competition is rich in supporting activities. Before the competition, there are citizen dynamometer experience activities for citizens to experience. After the competition, there are professional symposiums, which invite domestic senior experts, coaches, retired excellent athletes to share the development history and current situation of the international and domestic canoeing industry, and exchange relevant training plans for canoeing talent selection.
